What is SSB Interview?
The Services Selection Board (SSB) Interview is a comprehensive evaluation process conducted by the Indian Armed Forces to assess candidates aspiring to join the Army, Navy, or Air Force as officers. The selection focuses on Officer-Like Qualities (OLQs) including leadership, communication, teamwork, and decision-making skills.

5-Day Selection Process​
Day 0: Reporting, documentation, and briefing.
Stage-I Testing:
Day 1: Screening Tests

Picture Perception and Discussion Test (PPDT): Evaluates perception, imagination, and communication skills.
Stage-II Testing:
Day 2: Psychological Tests

Thematic Apperception Test (TAT): Candidates write stories based on shown pictures.

Word Association Test (WAT): Candidates write sentences based on shown words.

Situation Reaction Test (SRT): Candidates respond to hypothetical situations.

Self-Description Test (SDT): Candidates write about themselves from various perspectives.
Day 3 & 4: Group Testing Officer (GTO) Tasks

Group Discussion (GD): Assesses communication and reasoning skills.

Group Planning Exercise (GPE): Evaluates problem-solving and teamwork.

Progressive Group Task (PGT): Tests cooperation and resourcefulness.

Half Group Task (HGT): Similar to PGT but with fewer members.
